Oct 30, 2014 — It is with much sadness that we announce the indefinite hiatus of Lethal Halo at the end of 2014.

Over the past year we have been working on the new Animanaut EP and realized that while we all love the band and the music we create, we needed a change. How do you change something as unique as Lethal Halo yet remain true to the vision? Well, you don’t.

As such, we will stop writing and performing as Lethal Halo at the end of the year, with no return date set.

We would like to thank everyone we have worked with, all the great bands and venues, and most of all, every fan, friend and family member who have supported us over the past 6 years!

In the meantime, the show must go on!

As announced previously, look for the Animanaut EP Nov. 18th 2014 worldwide. We will be supporting this release with a series of shows in November and December, as well as through online media. Come out and watch us perform new and classic Lethal Halo songs and grab a copy of Animanaut too!

LETHAL HALO “Animanaut” – New Album Details

Oct 30, 2014 — Canadian melodic metal ensemble, LETHAL HALO have revealed today the full details for their new release. The 4-track self-produced EP will be titled “Animanaut” and be made available online November 18, 2014. Physical copies will also be made available at live shows and through the band’s various online outlets.

The recording is the culmination the band’s growth since their 2011 album, “Process of Progress”. Among the many changes the core of the band has experienced is the inclusion of vocalist Andrew Bailey and bassist/backing vocalist Gary Carter. The dichotomy of influences and personalities helped develop the band’s modern melodic metal tendencies with a more progressive approach. The band worked with Mike Rogerson & Cam Boyer at Harbourside IT in North Vancouver to put together this piece of the band’s history. This is a state of change; a theme that runs through the EP and the band as a whole.

Following the November 18 worldwide (digital) release, the band will embark on a short 2-leg Canadian tour in direct support of the release in late November. Preliminary local shows and subsequent media are planned for post-tour.

All this reclusion takes its toll, however, and the itch to get out and play is incessant, like a bad rash.  So we’re being naughty and scratching that rash, to make it bleed crimson.

We’re playing a show.  At a pizza place.  Because nothing is more metal than biting into a slice of pizza, burning the roof of your mouth with the nuclear fire of death (also pizza sauce), and headbanging through the pain and blinding tears of your own suffering.  Catharsis by pizza.

First up, our good buddies in One Life Animal are kicking off a tour for their debut full-length album “Sleep and His Older Brother Death”, and we’ll be helping send them off this Thursday, August 8th at Funky Winkerbeans, 37 W Hastings, Vancouver, along with Sinmobile and Grizzly Bones.

There’s also rumours abound that we may be helping other, quite popular buddies of ours kick off *their* album tour later in August as well! Who and when? Oh, you’ll have to wait a bit more for that one.  So many bands doing new albums and tours these days. Hmmm… makes you wonder.

Can’t express enough how happy we were to see so many smiling faces in the crowd last night for our first show back, you guys made our night and quite possibly our month lol. Every band went on a murderous rampage and it was a true honor to share the stage with you all. Mournir, Iron Kingdom, Omega Crom, Scythia, Unleash The Archers… I think we can all agree that was a SICK show.
